Creative Man
An interdisciplinary exhibition
Creativity
Creativity is what has made it possible for us human beings to adapt to the most different situations and surroundings. We create for better or worse, both with our minds and with our hands: we create ideas of the universe,
religions, mores and abstractions, we knead and make apple pie, dig holes and split atoms, build houses and invent tools.
Behind our creations lie personal, cultural and universal ideas; ideas that we transmit from person to person,
from generation to generation, not least through our myths! The exhibition first deals with some basic human themes.
Then three examples of natural surroundings that have tested mans creativity in the extreme are shown: the very dry land in the deserts of Australia, the very wet land in the forest of the Amazon and the very cold climate of the Arctic.
The last section deals with myths in which lifes diffi culties, contradictions and mysteries are made evident
through myths from all over the world.
